Katharine R. Lester
, or Katherine R. Lester, is a Michigan Myspace Girl who made (international) national headlines in June 2006 after secretly leaving her Mid-Michigan home to see Palestinian man Jinzawi she fell in love with from the popular social network MySpace . At the time, Katharine was only 17 years old and not allowed to travel by herself without the parents' permission, so she was stopped by FBI agents in Amman, Jordan and brought back to the U.S.A.
Now Katharine Lester, the MySpace Girl is 18 and legal for her to do anything fly alone. This morning (Wednesday, Sept. 12, the first day of Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah and Ramadan, three months after her 18th birday), Karharine Lester has flied from a flight with one-way travel ticket at Flint's Bishop International Airport to join Jinzawi, a 20 year old Muslim, on the West Bank.
“I love them very much, I’m just hoping to stay safe. That’s about it.” Lester said about her family at the Airport.
While in the statement of Katharine Lester’s mother to TV5, the mid-aged woman thanked Judges and police who gave their family one year with Katharine and hoped everyone can pray for their family.
Anyway, I wish Katherine Lester can stay safe when in the West Bank where the Israeli war bombs are frequently dropped.
