Antonio Henton, a backup quarterback for the Ohio State Football team Buckeyes, was arrested over soliciting prostitutition at N. High Street and 6th Avenue in Columbus by an undercover policewoman at 8:27 p.m. September 24. He agreed to pay $20 for intercourse, but was busted as part of an undercover sting by the vice squad.
This morning Antonio Hention pleaded not guilty in Franklin County Municipal Court this morning on a misdemeanor charge of soliciting. And he has left the jail after Judge Amy Salerno set bail at $2,500.
Antonio Henton was a redshirt last season and has played in all four of Ohio State's games in 2007. As a high school senior he was considered one of the nation's top multi-threat quarterbacks because of his running and passing abilities.
Antonio Henton has been involved in a long and grueling battle for the starting quarterback position this spring, and was recently added to the Ohio State Depth chart as the backup, to red shirt Junior Todd Boeckman.
But now Henton's career is now under peril, as he was already suspended from the Buckeyes team indefinitely. Antonio Henton, a native of Fort Valley, Ga. is currently a freshman. He is 6 feet 2 inch and weighs 210 pounds.
