After Steve McClarren was sacked for last month's defeat to Romania, FA finally found the man Fabio Capello the champion coach who had managed Juventus, AC Milan and Real Madrid as new England manager.
Capello has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with annual salary of a whopping £6.5m. The 61-year-old Italian's contract takes in not just the 2010 World Cup qualifiers but the campaign to reach Euro 2012 as well.
When speaking of the role as England manager in a TV station, Capello described it as the 'the final crowning' of his managerial career. Tags: england manager, fabio capello, football, soccer
