SHANE Warne and Glenn McGrath are poised to announce their retirement from international cricket at the conclusion of the Ashes series in Sydney next month.
Warne, 37, was poised to announce his retirement as early as today, with McGrath, 36, expected to follow suit, Channel 9 reported last night.
The pair would play for Australia for the last time in the fifth Ashes Test against England at Sydney Cricket Ground, Nine reported.
Cricket Australia would neither confirm nor deny the report.
Cricket Australia spokesman Peter Young said it was up to Warne and McGrath to make any announcements regarding the future.
